Want to Know the Rules of Cricket?

There will be a free Cricket Umpiring course held at Tynedale Cricket Club, Hexham, starting on Thursday 29th January 2009 (7pm to 9pm). This is for up and coming umpires, those cricketers who want to know more, qualified umpires (refresher) and anyone interested in becoming involved with this side of cricket.

The course is being run by the Northumberland Cricket Umpires Association and will run for 4 weeks. If you are interested you are invited to turn up on the first evening.

Local cricket leagues always require additional officials with over 30 games most weekends and some on weekdays in the Tynedale area alone.

Most leagues meet umpires expenses for games and you get a free tea! This course is a basic starter/refresher of the rules and those interested can go on to fully qualify as an umpire on future courses.
