Win lifts Stocksfield into top half
Stocksfield climbed into the top half of the Northern Alliance Premier Division table with a 1-0 victory over hosts Shankhouse to avenge their earlier defeat at Prudhoe.
After winning two games on the trot Shankhouse were stopped in their tracks and Josh Brooks scored Stocksfield's winner a few minutes before half-time.
League leaders Walker Central and Wark both lost to Newcastle University and Heaton Stannington respectively in surprising results.
