Tynedale face league leaders at Corbridge

Posted by The Journal on Mar 27, 09 08:47 AM in Sport

Tynedale entertain league leaders Redruth in Corbridge, aware of their kingmaker status.

Rugby chairman John Shotton said his side will not surrender their 36-match home league winning run without a fight.

"We're still to play Birmingham and Solihull at home after Saturday," said Shotton.

"And we know we can still directly affect where the title goes.

"So that's added motivation, if the desire to beat the leaders would not put enough fire in the bellies in itself.

"We're tremendously proud of holding the best national league home record, and they will have to fight all the way if they have any chance of taking it off us.

"It will be a big test, but we know that if we play to our capability then we can win the game."
