Flood-hit care home re-opens in Riding Mill

Part of a care home destroyed by floods has reopened after half a million pound refurbishment.

Hampton House, the elderly mental infirm annexe of Wentworth Grange, Riding Mill, was evacuated in July after heavy rain poured into the building.

The facility became Northumberland's first dual-care home providing both residential and nursing care.
